Our Trip
I thought I would share a few things that I saw when I visited recently. With so much more to do, we will definitely be back to enjoy another weekend soon.
We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Liverpool, which is right on the dock opposite the arena. If you’re seeing a show there, you couldn’t be much closer.
The walk along the dock is lovely and home to landmarks like the Liver Building and museums including:
Across the road, a short walk away, is Liverpool ONE, an open-air mall with great shops and restaurants.
Although Chinatown is not too far away, you can’t miss its large, beautiful archway at its entrance. We opted to eat at Rudy’s Pizza, which was amazing and great value!
We made our way to the Liverpool Cathedral, the largest in the UK. Entry is free, but donations are welcome towards its upkeep. It is beautiful and well worth a walk there to see and learn about its history and place in the community.
And of course, no trip to Liverpool would be complete without going to the famous Cavern Quarter—a great night out with a friendly, relaxed vibe. We also checked out a few Irish bars along the way for the great Craic.
